What is a pregnancy bola?

A bola is a necklace with a sound ball worn at the level of the bump. With every movement it gives off a quiet, constant sound. From about the 20th week of pregnancy your baby can perceive sounds – so the sound becomes familiar to them. Many parents keep using the bola after the birth: the known sound can help with settling. The CAURI in gold

The CAURI takes up the shape of a cowrie shell. The sound ball is optionally finished with 18-carat gold; the bola is nickel- and lead-free, which matters for a piece of jewellery worn on the skin every day.

GAÏA in rose gold

The GAÏA is the more restrained version in rose gold – plain enough to wear as an ordinary necklace after the pregnancy too. That is a point worth considering when buying: if you want to keep wearing the bola later, a discreet model is the better choice.
