Reading aloud: the most beautiful ritual of the day
Regular reading aloud is one of the most effective gifts for your child: it expands vocabulary, fosters concentration and imagination and creates closeness that lasts. It becomes especially valuable in dialogue – asking questions while looking ("What might the bear be doing?") invites the child to think and tell along.
The right book for the right age
For the littlest ones, robust board books with clear pictures are suitable – they also survive damp little fingers. Later, stories with more plot join in, happily the same ones again and again, because repetition gives children security and deepens understanding.
