The sloth moves leisurely through the treetops of tropical forests, where it spends a large part of its time. There, it prefers to eat leaves, rest, and sleep for many hours a day. With its long arms and sharp claws, it can climb skillfully and pull the branches with the best leaves close to itself. Its light brown fur provides excellent camouflage among the branches.
