Cable cars and water wheels by Kraul: technology you build yourself

Walter Kraul was a Waldorf teacher in Munich when he started building cable cars and water wheels. Toys that do not explain technology to children but let them try it out for themselves. The family business still produces in Icking near Munich, together with workshops for people with disabilities.

Most items are kits: build first, then play. Cable cars stretch right across the room or down into the garden, river wheels turn in the stream, and pulley blocks make the golden rule of mechanics tangible. If that appeals, our wooden kits hold more projects to assemble, and the marble runs offer even more mechanics to experiment with.

Native timber is used throughout and many products carry the «spiel gut» seal of approval. You will find our full range of wooden toys here.
