Learning games from Kölner Lernspielverlag: Lochkasten + Lemo

Kölner Lernspielverlag builds learning games that work without a screen and without grown-ups. With the Lochkasten you slide a card set into the wooden box and put the wooden pin into the hole next to the right answer: if the answer is correct, the card slides out. If it is not, the card stays put. That built-in self-checking is the whole trick, and even two-year-olds understand it straight away.

Lemo works on the same principle, only with rubber bands: you stretch them over the wooden pegs on the frame to connect the matching pictures. Stretching and removing them trains fine motor skills at the same time. Both base units are made of wood and the cards of thick paper - and because the card sets are interchangeable, the game grows with your child for years.

The range runs from first matching exercises for two-year-olds through shadow games and colours to addition, subtraction and early reading for years 1 and 2 - you will find matching sets under Back to School. More games for puzzling and discovering are waiting in our learning games and among the puzzles.
