Die Stadtgärtner: grow kits, seeds + plantable cards for children

Jan, Torge and Derk founded Die Stadtgärtner in Germany, starting with hand-rolled seed bombs in a shared-flat kitchen. Their goal: bring more green to grey corners. Many products are made so that children can sow, water and watch something grow themselves.

Sowing + growing

The cups are small grow kits: the Tigertomate cup grows a tomato, and there are also the gingerbread tree and the Christmas tree 2033 grown from a cup. Cups with a message, such as Glückskind, Bee Happy, Du bist unentbeerlich or Danke Wachsen, make a small thank-you, for example for nursery staff. There is also the Mutblumen planting box, the Ellas Limo-Garten mini greenhouse with lemon balm, the colourful flower marbles and the «Wild + Bunt» wildflower mix for balcony and garden.

Plantable cards

The cards combine a greeting with seeds, such as the card with a bouquet to plant yourself. They are available for birthdays, as a thank-you and for a birth («Hurra, du bist da!», «Willkommen kleines Baby»); find more ideas in our guide Sustainable gifts for a new baby. For the start of school there are the Back-to-School cards with a lion or fox, with more in Back to School.

For birds, squirrels + Advent

With Kleine Mahlzeit (bird food, squirrel food) and the outdoor buffets for birds and squirrels, children can watch animals in the garden in winter. For December there is the seed Advent calendar, with doors or as a winter landscape, and the Naturerlebnis Advent calendar. You will find more calendars and gifts for the run-up to Christmas in Advent Season.
