Van Leds: vegan soaps from Switzerland
Teilen
Handmade in Switzerland
Van Leds makes vegan soaps by hand in small batches – in Switzerland. The short distances are one point; the other is that with small batches it is easier to control exactly what goes in.
Why solid soap?
A bar of soap does without a plastic bottle and lasts a long time when used sparingly. So that it does not go soft, it should be able to dry between uses – a soap dish with drainage noticeably extends its life.
The varieties
Available are, among others, calendula (marigold), curcuma, avena (oat) and miel y coco (honey and coconut). Marigold and oat are classic ingredients for soaps that feel pleasant on sensitive skin.
Fragrance-free for sensitive skin
Several varieties are available fragrance-free. That is not a detail: fragrances are among the most common triggers of skin irritation – anyone prone to sensitive skin or looking for soap for children is usually better off with a fragrance-free version. With babies, washing should generally be sparing and mild; what that looks like is covered in the post on baby care with Minois Paris.
Gaia bath milk as a complement
Besides the soaps there is the vegan Gaia bath milk – for anyone who prefers something creamier at bath time. As a gift, soap and bath milk combine well; more ideas under sustainable gifts for a birth.
