Behind «Schmuckkistli» is Nadine Erne, originally from Gippingen in Aargau and today at home in Küssnacht am Rigi. She makes her gemstone necklaces and bracelets by hand – every piece a one-off, because no two stones are alike. The stones are combined with high-quality clasps and elements in 925 silver, partly gold-plated.
Amber necklace for children
The amber necklace for children consists of natural, irregularly shaped amber beads of 5 to 7 mm and a gold-plated clasp. The length is adjustable between 35 and 40 cm and thus grows along a little.
Important: with small children, jewellery should only be worn under supervision – not during sleep and not unsupervised while playing.
Gemstone bracelets for adults
The bracelet with Botswana agate combines fine 4 mm beads with gold-plated 925 silver and fits wrists from 14.5 to 16.5 cm. Botswana agate stands out for its fine banding – which makes every bracelet look different. Further models are available with moonstone and rutilated quartz, among others.

Particularly lovely is the idea behind the river quartz necklace: it comes twice, in two coordinated lengths – 35 to 40 cm adjustable for the child, 43 cm for the adult. The grey 3 mm beads are understated enough for every day. A lovely gift for a first Mother's Day or a shared occasion.

What should I watch out for with children's jewellery?
Supervision. A necklace does not belong in bed, nor on a child playing or climbing unsupervised – however well made it is. As a piece of jewellery for an occasion it is lovely; as a constant companion it is not intended.

How do I care for the jewellery?
925 silver tarnishes over time; that is normal and can be fixed with a polishing cloth. Take the pieces off before showering, swimming and applying cream – creams and chlorine affect both the stones and the gold plating.
