Merino wool does not itch and is naturally antibacterial – ideal for children with eczema or sensitive skin. Because the fibre is self-cleaning, airing it outside is usually enough. If the hat does need washing, do so gently by hand in lukewarm water at a maximum of 30 °C with wool detergent.
