Tights slip, twist and end up halfway down after an hour – anyone who dresses toddlers knows the problem. This is exactly where SILLY SILAS comes in: the tights by the Dutch brand have integrated braces.
Braces instead of a waistband
The braces hold the tights in place without a tight waistband pressing on the tummy. That is particularly pleasant while a nappy is still underneath – and it saves constant pulling up during play.
With or without feet
There are two versions: footed with feet – practical for the cold season and for babies who are not yet walking – and footless without feet, worn with your own socks and shoes and therefore fitting for longer. The sizes show it: the footless models run up to 3 to 4 years, the footed versions usually stop earlier. For walking children, footless is often the more practical choice.
Material and certificates
The tights are made in the Czech Republic from 100% organic cotton – GOTS certified and tested to OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Class 1. Class 1 is the strictest level of the label and applies specifically to articles that come into contact with the skin of babies and toddlers up to three years.
Cut to grow along
Because the braces stretch, one pair often fits across several sizes – the tights grow along to a degree. Which size suits which age is shown in our size chart.

From muted melange shades to strong colours, everything is there. The tights combine well with pared-back basics, for example by Organic Zoo – and in winter they work as a warming layer following the layering principle.
Frequently asked questions
Footed or footless – which when?
While your child is not walking yet, footed is comfortable and keeps the feet warm. Once they are on the move and wearing shoes, footless is more practical: no twisted feet inside the shoe, and the tights fit for longer because foot length is no longer the limit.
Do the braces really hold?
Yes, that is the point of the construction. The braces take the weight instead of shifting it onto a waistband on the tummy – so nothing slips, not even when crawling or climbing. A tight elastic waistband is done away with entirely.
Do the tights fit over a nappy?
Yes, the cut is made for it. Because the tummy stays free and the braces do the work, nothing presses even over a full nappy.
How are the tights washed?
Like other organic cotton: normally in the machine, ideally inside out. Cotton copes well with it, and since tights end up in the wash often anyway, it is worth having two pairs in the same size.
