The knitted Vest Harvey
The Vest Harvey is knitted seamlessly in one piece – so there are no seams pressing on sensitive skin. The elastic neckline stretches when putting it on and contracts again afterwards; anyone who has ever pulled a jumper over a baby's head knows why that is an argument. The fisherman's rib makes the vest extra soft. Available in sizes 2, 4 and 6 years.

The booties in soft merino wool keep little feet warm without constricting – particularly practical in the first months, when socks keep going missing. They make a good part of the first baby kit.

The Newborn Beanie Fonzie for 0 to 6 months sits reliably thanks to its ribbed knit, without pressing. Merino wool is breathable and antibacterial – which also makes it interesting for children with eczema or sensitive skin.
Beanie Fonzie: from baby to mum
The Beanie Fonzie comes in four sizes: 4 to 18 months, 2 to 5 years, 6 to 10 years – and in adult sizes. So if you like, you can wear the same hat as your child. The muted colours go with everything.
Care: wash less
Merino wool is self-cleaning – usually it is enough to air the pieces overnight. If washing is needed, do it by hand at a maximum of 20 °C with wool detergent. Do not wring, do not rub. That way the knits keep their shape for years and can be passed on.
Frequently asked questions
Does merino wool itch on baby skin?
No. Merino fibres are considerably finer than ordinary sheep's wool, and HVID uses extra-fine Italian quality. Together with the seamless construction, that is why the pieces work even with eczema and sensitive skin.
How often does merino wool need washing?
Far less often than you would think. Wool is self-cleaning and odour-neutral – a night on the balcony or by an open window usually replaces a wash. That is gentler on the fibres and saves time.
How do you wash it correctly?
By hand at no more than 20 °C with wool detergent, without wringing or rubbing. The machine's wool programme works for many pieces but remains at your own risk. Dry flat – hung up, wet wool stretches out of shape.
What does mulesing-free mean?
Mulesing is a painful procedure on sheep, common in some countries to prevent parasites. Mulesing-free wool comes from animals that have not undergone it – alongside the Oeko-Tex certificate, the most important proof point with wool.
